“Tour de Hood”

So we came to the conclusion to name this ride after the epic Tour de Hood bike that Steven gave me a couple weeks ago.  Here’s a pic of the beast:

So the planned ride was to ride all of the main Bismarck and Mandan mountain bike trails, since we missed the actual group ride that was going on the day before, Steven and I had to work.  We started around noon, hitting Sleep Hollow first, then biked on over to the trails behind BSC and Bismarck Community Bowl.  After doing those we met up with our Boss man Dennis, and rode with him over to Fort Lincoln State Park, which was a good 8-10 miles of road riding to get there on the fat tires!  Once there we stopped at a gas station to refuel, and I happened to snap this pic of the bikes:

In order from closest to furthest away Specialized Camber Elite 29er (mine I was testing out), Santa Cruz Tall Boy (Dennis’s sick 29er!), Specialized Camber Pro (Katrina’s slick bike), Specialized Stumpjumper Evo R (Steven’s steathly ride).

Then we hit up the Fort Lincoln State Park bike trails, which were pretty novice, good beginner trails, but were really flowy, and equated to a fun and fast ride for Dennis and I.

We took a few pics as we were heading down from our ride of the Missouri that is drownding out the farm fields that used to be, pretty crazy sight to see:

CHECK OUT THE WHOLE RIDE HERE!

All in all it was a good Sunday, and next Sunday the plan is Harmon Lake, which a few more folks possibly!

What did you do today to get better?!
